Terms
These Terms & Conditions explain how the TapReceipt website may be used and the standard commercial terms for the TapReceipt digital receipt service.

TapReceipt is operated by ECB International Technologies Limited, based in Dublin, Ireland. You can contact us at hello@tap-receipt.com.
TapReceipt helps retailers provide digital receipts through an NFC countertop tap point. Customers can access a digital receipt without downloading an app, creating an account or providing an email address or phone number. Paper receipts remain available through the retailer’s existing receipt flow when requested.
You must use this website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the website, misuse its forms, submit false information, or reuse TapReceipt branding and content without permission.
A Get Started submission is an enquiry, not an order or immediate checkout. We manually review the POS provider, expected usage and likely connection route before confirming whether TapReceipt can serve the business and which plan applies.
We may request more information, recommend separately quoted work, or decline a setup that is not suitable. No payment is taken through the Get Started form.
Plans are based on your average weekly till roll usage over the 12 months before TapReceipt. If your business has less than 12 months of history, we use the longest representative period available. Combine usage across locations in the same rollout/account and round to the nearest whole non-negative roll. Pricing is not per store.
Reduced paper usage after adopting TapReceipt does not automatically move a customer into a lower tier. We do not change plans because of one unusual week or a minor temporary fluctuation. Plans may be reviewed if the underlying receipt volume or business materially and consistently changes.
Custom pricing applies above 150 combined weekly rolls, or where materially different technical or commercial work is needed, such as bespoke integration, significant gateway deployment, enterprise security/procurement requirements or substantial custom configuration. Multiple locations alone do not require Custom pricing.
Prices shown on the website exclude VAT. For an online connection, we review, connect and test TapReceipt with the POS and confirm the transaction data format before sending a secure payment link.
Online activation is €49 once per normal Monthly onboarding/account, not per location, and included on annual plans. Website pricing may change, but the price supplied in the payment link or written confirmation applies to the order being placed.
After a successful online connection test and plan confirmation, TapReceipt manually sends a secure Stripe payment link. Stripe processes the payment and payment authorisation. TapReceipt does not directly collect or store card details.
Online activation covers connection setup, receipt configuration, testing, go-live support and a standard TapReceipt pad. Significant gateway, on-site or custom deployment work may require a separate quote, agreed before paid work begins. Material additional hardware for a very large or unusually complex rollout is handled within that quote; there is no standard per-pad charge.
For an online connection, the initial connection test and transaction data format check take place before payment. After payment, TapReceipt provides the pad, completes onboarding and final go-live checks, and confirms the service live. The confirmed go-live date starts the service term, 30-day money-back guarantee and recurring renewal dates.
Monthly plans have no minimum term. The customer pays the €49 one-time online activation fee and authorises recurring monthly payments through Stripe. Monthly billing begins from the confirmed go-live date and renews monthly.
You may cancel a future monthly renewal by contacting us before that renewal date. Recurring billing then stops at the next renewal. A month that has already started is not partly refunded, except where the 30-day money-back guarantee applies.
Annual plans are paid in full after a successful online connection test and before the pad is provided and go-live is completed. Online activation and a standard TapReceipt pad are included. The annual service term starts on the confirmed go-live date and renews automatically every 12 months from that date.
You may cancel the next annual renewal at any time before the renewal date by contacting us. We aim to send a renewal reminder approximately 30 days before renewal. An annual term that has already started is not refunded pro rata, except where the 30-day money-back guarantee applies.
Try TapReceipt for 30 days. If it’s not right for your business, cancel within 30 days of going live for a full refund.
To make a claim, email hello@tap-receipt.com before the 30-day period ends and identify the relevant business and location. A valid online-service claim refunds the annual subscription payment, or the online activation fee actually paid and applicable monthly subscription payment for a monthly plan.
The standard NFC TapReceipt pad does not need to be returned. The guarantee may be used only once by the same business/location. Separately quoted gateway, on-site or custom deployment work may have different refund terms, which will be stated in the relevant quote or agreement.
If TapReceipt cannot establish the agreed online connection before go-live, we will refund the annual payment in full. For a monthly plan, we will refund the activation fee actually paid and any monthly subscription payment already taken. Separately quoted work is handled under the terms confirmed for that deployment.
A standard NFC TapReceipt pad is included with the online service and is non-returnable. It is not treated as recoverable TapReceipt equipment when the service ends.
Local gateway hardware supplied under a separately quoted deployment may remain TapReceipt property and may have return obligations. Any such ownership and return terms will be stated in the relevant quote or agreement.
If a payment is overdue or fails, we may contact the customer, retry or request payment through Stripe, and suspend the service until payment is made. We will act reasonably and restore service once the account is brought up to date where continued service is possible.
TapReceipt can connect directly to compatible POS systems where a suitable online connection is available. Some setups require a local gateway or additional work. We do not guarantee suitability for every POS, network or retail environment.
No technology service can be guaranteed to be available at all times. Maintenance, internet issues, third-party interruptions or retailer systems may affect availability. Retailers should continue to make paper receipts available where required or requested.
Browser receipts are available for up to 30 days. Customers may save receipts to supported wallet services if they want to keep them longer. TapReceipt does not process retail customer payments or handle card authorisation; the retailer’s POS and payment providers remain responsible for those payments.
The TapReceipt name, logo, website content, designs, product visuals and related materials belong to ECB International Technologies Limited or its licensors. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without written permission, except for normal website viewing.
TapReceipt may use or link to third-party services including hosting, email, wallet platforms, POS systems, analytics and payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply to their services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECB International Technologies Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this website or reliance on general website information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
A quote, order form, service agreement, deployment terms or data processing agreement may also apply. If a separate signed agreement conflicts with these website Terms, that agreement applies to the extent of the conflict.
